Choir Uniforms

When considering the look of your choir uniform, the best advice is to keep the uniform simple and with clean lines. The uniform is there to represent the choir and set an impression of who the choir is. Consider the following:
Color: It is best to find a single color base, like a grey, navy or black. You want the bodies to blend together on stage. The best is a darker color, all items in the same hue worn with a punch of color around the neck or in the shirt. On stage lighting will affect the look of a uniform.
Style: Keep the look simple, there are so many body shapes to consider and comfort is important. A simple silhouette is the most flattering and a garment with a tailored look will be best on stage as it will look polished and professional. Ensure the body is well covered and as little skin as possible is showing.
Fabrics: Find fabrics that travel well, are wrinkle resistant and are easy care.
Details: Remember to ensure your choralists polish their shoes, wear the same colored shoes, hosiery and socks.
